This is a 3 hours sailing experience (from 3pm to 6pm). You will learn the basics of sailing. We will see the Etna and Catania by the sea, sailing along the Coast of the Cyclops, swim in front the Ulisse's Grotto. Learn the basics of sailing and cooperate to steer the boat togheter. We will let you enjoy the vibes of the silence, from the wind and the ocean. Then we start the party enjoing wine/prosecco with sicilian aperitif (or Lunch if scheduled) on boat.

What To Expect

Sicilian Sailing Tours

We start cruising from our sailing club, located behind the old building of Vecchia Dogana inside the Catania Port. You will discover Catania and his Port from the boat perspective. When you start moving on the east side you will see a Giant Graffiti Murales with the eyes of the judge Paolo Borsellino, killed by mafia in 1992.

We will sail along the coat of the cyclops, you will enjoy a sightseeing of Catania by the See

You will see by the ocean the big oven where in the last century sicilian workers use to cook the sulfur, gathered from the vulcano

You will see one old small fisherman's dock and a beautiful beach with black sand.

At Ulysses’ Caves you can have the first swim of the day.These caves were formed in a beautiful lava cliff overlooking the sea. The colors of the backdrops are gorgeous, from dark blue, to green, to light blue.

We couldn't have wished for a more perfect day. Captain Giuseppe proved to be a very kind and professional person and his crewmember Andra was the same.

Even when my partner got a bit (sea)sick, they were very patient and they put a priority on how she felt.

The talks were great, the food was lovely and the overall vibe was very relaxing. There also were many opportunities to swim. We had ab unforgettable experience and would highly recommend it.

Wonderful, worthwhile and great value for money trip on an amazing boat. The hospitality is first class; both hosts go the extra mile, providing a lovely, authentic lunch and their vast knowledge of all things Catania. The water is sky blue and an absolute dream to swim in. Overall, an amazing experience and one I would absolutely recommend. 10/10

We had a very nice boat trip with Ivan and his crew. The sea was beautiful and calm, a perfect day. They were a great company, both speak English very well. We also had a delicious aperitive on the boat and stopped for a nice swim. We dearly recommend this experience

We did a six hour sunset cruise around Taormina from Riposto. We were received well by Ivan and his team with great Prosecco, amazing food cooked by Antonella in challenging circumstances and excellent entertainment with their music and ours too on the great music system on the boat. The crew is fantastic, the hospitality first rate and everything is enhanced by their enthusiasm to show you their part of Sicily.

We had a choppy ride initially but once out of the harbour the waters were glass smooth and the rest of the trip was a lot of fun. Some of us went for a swim and had a great view of the Etna eruption on our way back!! Love to do it again. This is pricey but so worth it!!
